I spent three days in New York this weekend and a lot of it was spent eating. I ate some things with egg that were delicious. The first was Friday night at momofuku ssam. Roasted lamb and lamb belly with bulgur, chestnut, and egg yolk. The lamb was the most perfect I have ever tasted: medium rare loin and gluttonous slow-braised belly. The bulgur was crisped brown on the edges, nutty and earthy, and the creamy chestnut mingling with the slightly cooked, oozy egg yolk was enough to make us all a little weepy. Photo from foodspotting.
